Musical lyrics advocating violence should not be allowed

Hey guys, what do you think? Should be allowed musics that advocating violence or not? Well, I agree that this type of music isn't good for our society, kids and teenagers because they pass the idea that commit a crime or violence is something normal and funny. And it can influence children because they don't have maturity to discern what is wrong or not. But I think that everyone has the right to express yourself, and everybody fight and want it, so we can't take it away from a specific group (that who sings or wrote about violence) because it would be unfair, and because sometimes they aren't influencing violence, it can be just a way of expressing themselves. So I think we can't banned this type of music but we can choose what our kids will listening or not. Well, it is what I think. I'm waiting your opinion, please comment! bye bye

    Hey guys,how are you all?Finally,it's our last issue!Now,we don't need to comment anymore!Returning to the subject...I bet that everybody like music,isn't it true?Of course that each person likes a kind of music and we have a type of music to each occasion;but you agree with composers that use music to promote violence,or that talk about violence?To me,this kind of action shouldn't be done(because it causes problems and violence).Why would someone create bad things if it can be used to influence people to do good and helpful things?Okay that we can talk about violence,but not influencing this kind of reaction;just blaming this theme.I don't think that should exist a law blaming songs with bad lyrics,because the person needs to have enough conscientious of his/her acts.And that's a part of my ideas,what do you think?Please comment!And finally we are freeeeeee.....no more posts!!!Bye.

The United States is a good place to live?

Live in the most powerful and richest country in the world, the country that won two world wars and has a great  cultural, commercial and ethnic influence in all the world. But is it really good to live in a country with such feature? In my opinion it wouldn't be the best, especially for health, the United States is a country with only 33.1% of  area covered by forest and emits about 6,049,435 tons of carbon dioxide, but people don't look for that side. 

Let's think then the terrorist attacks that the country has suffered as Al Qaeda when attacked the towers of the World Trade Center, and that might suffer again. This year, there was a conflict between the Koreas and the country was threatened. How to live in a country with so many disturbances? It has a high-tech, 99% of the population is literate, but lives in danger.  Do you want this life?Think about the positives and negatives points !   Bárbara

Can US be called a safe country?

Well, i am sitting here, hearing the rain falling outside, hearing chill music 😍, supposed to write on the blog! Thank God, I had the oportunity to visit the US on june, this year. I could see, how that country is perfect! I loved that place "God, bless america!", I could see how things work in perfect rythm, how the police are effective there, and I consider the US really safe and secure, there, justice really works. I think everybody here knows that I want to become an airplane pilot, and I wish to fly on international ways, so I would like to live in the US, maybe I am wrong, but i think that people there are really happy, we can see everybody on the street, talking, music, happy. The security at the US are one of the best on earth, things work there! They apply a lot of money on researches. We can see the difference starting from the cleaning of the cities, I tried to see garbage at the street, but I promise, i didn't find! The people there are really polite, good food. Please Lisa, I would like to read your article about how american people are happy (they are or not), because I think that there, everything are more easy, things more cheap, good cars, please, give me your opinion! Well, finishing my comment, the US is perfect, secure, beautiful, honest, things work! I will love that place 4ever!

Should schools require students to wear a uniform.

Hi guys, well in my opinion uniforms should not be obligatory, I think we have to wear something that we like and consider comfortable. Because if we are comfortable we have more disposition to learn and to stay in that place. And when they obligate us to do something, we feel 'pressed' and without freedom, so to solve this problem the uniform could be optional, wear who wants. And a lot of people say that uniform is a way of security, a way to identify who can enter or not in the school. But I don't agree with it, because if someone wants to enter there to do something wrong or bad will not be a uniform that will prevent, even because anyone can buy a uniform without no difficult.

SHOULD SCHOOLS REQUIRE STUDENTS TO WEAR A UNIFORM

Well, in my point of view, I agree, because the school must have it own 'trademark', so everybody has like a 'label', if this student walks on the street, everybody can recognize him. Some students don't like using uniforms, they say that uniforms make them 'non-personality' people , and I think that this is the only objective of this kind of cloth. Uniforms are used to cause the iguality between people who works at the same company. The principal of the school, wishes that nobody is better than others. Wearing normal clothes could be disrespectful for some people, because everybody has his/her king of dressing up. Wearing uniforms, students wouldn't compare 'how cool is that', they wouldn't spend too much time, choosing what king of cloth they would wear for that day. They wouldn't worry about how much money the student spent on that cloth, uniform would create equality. Rafa.

IS THE LOVE BLIND?

"The love is blind so, the people in date can't see the stupid things They do"., -Willian Shakespear.         Among all fillings, love is the most noble of tham, it's easy  to express this filling but it's not easy to define it, maybe it wouldn't be correct  saying that love has it's own personality, When people are in love,  it's able to completely control their actions, and every body like it,most people act like a full when They are in love especially at the begining of a relationship , it's fany when people look for someone to date,most of Us are extremely demanding We always demand for a pretty face and good looking,  but suddently  the love shows and every things became different. Why is love blind?

It 's better to have a "real" relationship than living in a dream!

Love, being in love, something a bit complicated to talk. 

During the relationship takes place this "illusion" which leads us to think that love is blind. I disagree with this expression, in my opinion have a strong and lasting relationship may be much better if we live in reality, live the moment , what really is, and not be dreaming. It is also good to remember that it is not only with women but also with men, both can be "fooled" with a partner.

Do husbands need a bigger recess from work after their wife gave birth to a child ?

I don't think it is necessary, it is true that is important the father participation on his son/daughter life, but we know that the mother receives the license because the process of birth is very hard, and she needs to rest after it, the father don't have the same thing, and he needs to work to get money and pay bills, if each couple that have a children would have this license the government probably would get broken, because they are not working and getting money.

Well we all know that to a child to grow up happy he/she needs to receive a lot of attention and dedication from her parents . Personally I think that it would be a good idea to increase the number of days a husband could spend interacting with his son or daughter because that would be good for both the child and the father and we re not talking about a huge increase in this recess  just add a few more days it wouldn t hurt anyone would it ? And this would be also be good for the mother she would be able to rest a few more days and let the man take care of the dirty diapers for a while .

Should girls ask boys to go out ?

In my opinion , I think that girls should do it , because if she really likes the boy and she really wants to know him well , its good for her to invite him to go out . In all humanity life , it was like a RULE that boys should invite girls to go out , but for me , it doenst exist anymore . Like Karen said , our generation its a little bit different from the others , cuz now girls that see that the boy is shamefull and take to long to ask them to go out , that girls nowadays knows how to deal with it and go ask guy to date her or ask him to go out . If the person really wants to know another person well , doesnt matter if its a boy or a girl , that person should ask him to go out , u cant wait the person if she doesnt have attitude enough to deal with it .

SHOULD GIRLS ASK BOYS TO DATE?

  I think that it's really strange to girls ask boys to date.What do you think?Normally,boys should be man enought to make this.Okay that I have to agree that the days are others and the habits had changed a little bit(now a days,girls don't even ask,they just go and kiss;same case to boys).But,in my opinion,the right man(that is to date and marry and don't want just to say to friends that he's irresistible) will probably try his best to convince the girl that he's the right man to her and will be courageous to ask her to date(not by cellphone or computer,but face in face).We have to consider that boys who are too shameful and take too long time to notice something;so I think that us,girls,need to give some tips to them.However,I am not against the girls who ask boys to date.Waw,that's a polemic and difficult theme...I'm wanting...please,comment.Karen Tabata.

Cats Or Dogs?

I actually disagree with the fact of cats don't love their owner, because they love us too, even if they demonstrate less than dogs. Cats are also independent, so you don't need to take care of him as often as a dog, but you need to pay attention to it healthy, maybe they are sick and you will need to see this. Cats are a good company, they can stay inside your house, something that some dogs can't, because they mess a lot, cats stay with you all day if it wants, but it has others things that it likes, they go out, and then appears again. My point is, it's not only dogs that are a good company and love you, cats can also love you, and do somethings that you can laugh a lot. Dogs are also incredible, both of them are lovely creatures that make our lives better.

Cats or Dogs?

Hi everybody! hope you're all doing well
This week we will talk about domestic animals, I honestly think that people who dont like any animals dont have a good heart, really, how can someone dislike them?
I love dogs so I it will be easy to defend them.
I think what makes the biggest difference is that dog its "always there for you" when cats are just doing nothing and eating. Dogs are better than cats, they are more beautiful and you can feel like they are your friend. I know that this is just a Human feeling, I know that they will be probably not feeling like they love you back. But they make us feel good, and they are very supportive. I dont understand whats on their mind, but they still doing the right thing you know?
For example they can be guides for blind people, they can help kids with some sickness,but cats? they are nothing. Theys dont do nothing, they dont help people, they dont "love" people.

Alcohol

Alcohol should or not be illegal?

   I think that it may not be illegal, because you can decide if you want to buy it or not, if you want to consume it or not. So you have to think that you drink it if you want. Sure we have some people that consume it because they were influenced, and something like this, but not always, and if you have your opinion and your point of view you may not be influenced by others. And look the drugs, they are illegal, and we still have lots of problems with it, so if they make the alcohol illegal, they are just going to be asking for more problems like that. 

   So they may not make it illegal, and we may have our decisions.

Hey guys! What do you think alcohol should be illegal or not? 

Well, in my opinion it should be illegal,  because it is a think that change our behavior and because of this people who doesn't have sense can cause a lot of serious problems like fights and deaths. Most of traffic accidents happen because the driver had consumed alcohol, and most of them ends in death. And alcohol is a drug like cocaine and marijuana, and like all drugs it causes dependence and causes a lot of problems for health. Nowadays even children can get it easily and became dependents and it is awful. And I think if it should be illegal to decrease the violence, fatal accidents, healthy problems and family problems!  

HONESTY(SAID THE TRUTH)! ALWAYS OR NEVER?

   Honesty is a very difficult thing to have,isn't it?Normally,you don't want to say the truth(to be honesty),because you'll probably hurt someone's feelings.But I thing that we should try to always say the truth,even if it's an unpleasant thing.Of course,you should see and evaluate if the truth that you'll say is really necessary ;other wise,you shouldn't say an unimportant thing,just to hurt the other and create enmity(just hold yourself and don't pronounce a word).Concluding,if you are in doubt to be honesty and hurt somebody(that after some time will be recovered);or lie at the present and hurt this person in the future(if this person discover your lie,probably won't trust you anymore.Same as broken friendship.)...Choose the right thing(following God's commandments-say the truth,always the truth).That's what I think;but I don't judge others opinions...So,please comment!!!Thank you for your patience and bye.

Is honest the best policy?
Well, perhaps too much honesty can hurt people, so I think that sometimes people must not say everything they think, and everything they want to say, they may stop before saying anything and think if it will hurt or attack somebody. Is uncomfortable to be around people who are all the time saying everything they think and don't care for what other people will think, sometimes they should have at least an idea of how much they are being incovenient. Sure, we have some exceptions but most are inconvenient, and whether or not realize it or doesn't care and continues the same way. So for me honesty isn't at all the best policy.

The television brings violence ?

Today all the world is so much violent , part of this can be cause by the television . The most part of the programs present violents acts - on the news , on the soap operas or series . Of course the news have to show us what is happing on the world , but in my point of view , they emphasize a lot the fact , and presents a lot the violence . In my opinion , if the programs present more generous acts , less fight , the population would be moves and would practice the good deeds . But there is another solution to the violence, the police, the prison, which unfortunately in our country doesn't work as it should!   Barbara

Hello guys, How is everybody?
What do you think of Television? Can we say television is responsible for the violence we see every day?
 I think we can't blame television for the cause of people's agressivity. There are another points much more important that influence people,for example:  Where does the person live?, How is their family structured ?, What is the kind of people that are their friends?
This is not prejudice. But this factors influence people in a  direct way. With our parents we learn what is wrong or right, they give us a limit. Our Neighbourhood has almost the same role. We generally live near people that has the same conditions and  goals than us. For example with we go to a poor neighbourhood their teens probably  are not thinking in college, they are thinking in what will they do after high school. In your social class its commom to see we talking about college. And if you grow in a Violent neighbourhood you will get used to that violence and maybe you wont think that its wrong. Of course this is not to everybody, Its not a rule, But it does influence our way of seing the world.
In other cases we can see "playboys", people who always had everything and , even though, went to that bad way.
So, I tried to explain that we have more impport things to care. Television its not the reason why our society is so violent. I believe we all know the difference between real life and fiction.

Marriage is an outdated institution!

No, it isn't, I feel confortable to talk about marriage becouse I've been married for 15 years and most this time have been great. When a couple starts living together but before they started whit a blessed wedding, it makes tham stronger to coupe against the hardest situations they will face up; while people who seek the easier way maybe won't survive to any stronger turbulence. There are many important things that help a couple to succeed and I'd say one of the most importante is commitiment among the couple, otherwise it won't remain. In my oppinion the marriage is the biggest and most importante institution of the humanity.

Is marriage an obligation when you love someone ?

We don t need to participate in any kind of cerimony to express how we feel about those we love , it is not needed  to prove anyone about that . In my opinion people shoudn t feel obligated to marry someone just because you like him/her or been together for some time, you should first enjoy your time with him/her and try to live your life without worring about that . And we can t forget that marriage in many cultures is just a religious union you don t need to participate in that if you have a stable relantionship and want to keep it that way,  but anyway I respect those who think that marriage is important and by all means I M not saying marriage is a waste of time , money Etc ,I am just saying that in  my point of view ,couples have more important things to discuss and to do in a relationship instead of planning a wedding , they should first focus in making there "Soulmates" happy .

Is There Life After Death? - Guilherme

I defend the hypothesis of the existence of a second life, however it is impossible to say for sure, there are still many mysteries behind the reason for our existence, and the science is still far from unraveling these mysteries. which leads me to believe the existence of this second life is my Christian religion. My religion believes that good should be practiced, one should not treat people as if they were different, and another series of things and that it allows the person to go to heaven. should be a choice, I prefer to believe.

Is There Life After Death?

Even if there is life after death, you should live without worrying about it, it like there isn't a new life waiting for you after your death, because if heaven or hell exists, if you do good things, even if you don't believe, you probably go to heaven, that's my main thinking about this topic. I don't believe in life after death, so I try to do my best in this life, cause I believe it's the only one I've got. But even it exists, you must try to do your best in this life too, if you don't, I just think you don't deserve to have a second chance, because you didn't even tried in the first time. People should just think more about this, to believe or not to believe, and respects the people that have a different opinion of this topic, because both sides doesn't have proofs that their thinking is the right one.

Smoking in Public Places - Rafael

I really agree with some points of Marcos's vision, I think that all the plates "SMOKING PROHIBITED" should be respected by the citizens, doing this, we would respect the other people thoughts and don't bother them! But I think that smoking in public areas shouldn't be prohibited because all the people have the choice to choose the place that they want to go. If there is some smokers in a beach, for example, just steer away and go sit in another place. Everybody has the right of smoking. The cigarettes are allowed in law, so we can't do absoluty nothing, just avoid being near smokers. The respect between smokers and non-smokers, its all about consciousness. So, respect all the smokers, if you are bothered, sorry, go for a ride and find a new place! (haha). And if the person smokes weed, be careful what you are gonna say hahaha! /rafaelmonteiroadv4

Smoking In Public Places

Smoking in plublic places like parks and restaurants it's normal , but not inside of the place (of course !) because of the smoke , and everybody knows that the smoke is bad for our health .But if the person has consciousness about that , he'll smoke only outside of the place to not bother other people .In places like bars , disco houses and other entertainment places , it'll depend of the owner from that place , it's his decision if smoke should be permitted or not .The person that smokes , goes there and see the sign "NO SMOKING" he can make a decision too , if he wants to enter in there or leave there. But ban this won't make no difference , the person must have consciousness about that and see that people get bothered about that and even disrupts the health of the not-smoking person. So , a law that ban the act of smoke in public places it won't make difference and the government shouldn't care about this because we have more important sectors in our society that needs to be thought about .

Cell Phones in Class - Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?!

Hi Advanced II students!  How is everyone today?  In our book today we’re going to talk about blogs and wikis, so I wanted to try to make a blog for our class.  Now, I’m not very good at writing….I prefer to talk  , but we’re going to give this a try!  Please help me out!  I’m sure that you are all more creative than I am, so help me, help me, help me!!!

Today we’re going to talk about cell phones in class.  Should they be allowed?

One of the problems with cell phones is that they can be a major distraction.  There’s nothing worse than someone’s cell phone ringing in the middle of something important.  And if the people actually start talking, it’s even worse.  This is why many teachers are trying to ban cell phones from school.  They say they disrupt their classrooms and break their students’ concentration.  Worse, if they ring during a test, they can really hurt someone’s grade. 

But lots of people disagree.  They say kids need cell phones.  Some kids have to keep in touch with parents and work.  Rather than banning cell phones, some say that school officials should just make kids use them responsibly.
