The television brings violence ?
Today all the world is so much violent , part of this can be cause by the television . The most part of the programs present violents acts - on the news , on the soap operas or series . Of course the news have to show us what is happing on the world , but in my point of view , they emphasize a lot the fact , and presents a lot the violence . In my opinion , if the programs present more generous acts , less fight , the population would be moves and would practice the good deeds . But there is another solution to the violence, the police, the prison, which unfortunately in our country doesn't work as it should! Barbara
Well in my opinion i dont think what you watch in tv influences you in any because you have the knowledge to known whats wrong and whats right
ReplyDeleteI don't agree in some parts of Barbara's essay.I don't agree that only the television influence the violence in the world,other facts can induce people to do wrong and horrible things.But I agree that television should show more "happy things",not just violence, accidents, robs, murder and these kind of acts.How many times did you turn on the tv and was passing at the news something "good"(not violent)?Almost never,right?So,this is a confirmation of the influence caused by tvs.Karen Tabata
ReplyDeleteThe television can influence everybody in lots of ways, and I think that in this case it doesn't influence the violence because people must have their own opinions and thoghts, and if they have it they may not be influenced by the television to do bad things and be violent. So I desagree in some parts.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Barbara, although my oppinion is just a lettle bit different only about others aspects that I think olso have influence in violence, for exemple; if We had good and educational tv programs we still had violence . I had a strict and traditional education and I'm so proud on my parents for that and I think today We have too much freedom to our children and youth. I recognize that time has changed anf maybe things from the past daesn't work today.
I don't think the same as you , I think that the TV can only have effect on kids , but we (teenagers and adults) have enough consciousness to know what is wrong or right .
ReplyDeleteI think TV just influences when the person doesn't have a character set, in other words if the person is a kid. Because adults have their character already set and soap operas or the news won't influences them.
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with you, cause in my way of thinking, only kids and psychopaths are influenced directly by the television, cause every normal and conscious people know what is wrong and right, what is fiction and real, and I don't think police and this kind of stuff are the right thing, cause it's not only in Brazil that the violence is high, the right solution would be education to everyone and social equality.
