Is honest the best policy?
Well, perhaps too much honesty can hurt people, so I think that sometimes people must not say everything they think, and everything they want to say, they may stop before saying anything and think if it will hurt or attack somebody. Is uncomfortable to be around people who are all the time saying everything they think and don't care for what other people will think, sometimes they should have at least an idea of how much they are being incovenient. Sure, we have some exceptions but most are inconvenient, and whether or not realize it or doesn't care and continues the same way. So for me honesty isn't at all the best policy.

I don't agree at all with you, I'm not saying you are wrong, because this subject does not have a right side, each one has to decide what they think will be better, and I prefer to say the truth, because almost every time you try to hide something just get worst later.
ReplyDeleteI think it depends. If its some bad secret you had discovered sometimes its better if you keep your silence. But if its a normal situation, in my idea people should almost be forced to say what they think kkkk' I hate people who does not take a side on a situation! People who just listen to thing they want become spoiled! Sometimes its good for us to have a "reality shock", especially from the ones we call friends.

ReplyDeleteDear friend Thais, congratulations for your post, but I have an oppinion a lettle different of You; the hosnesty con only hurt people who doesn't care about others people, I agree with You about people that always give their oppinion even when They are not asked for, some people, specially when They're applying for any public job, think beeing honest is a very good advertisement, in mey oppinion moral values must be a due to everyone also being honest is a good behavior to scare deshonest people away .
ReplyDeleteWell i partly agree with you because most times when we want to be honest with someone there is a chance we could hurt that persons feelings and in " some cases " it is best to hide the truth for the sake of that person but you should always try to be honest with your family and about matters that are rather important for you or for the ones involved
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it depends too much about the person that u are dealing with , but if u think that telling the truth is the right action to do , so do it , even if it will affects in a bad way the person that ur going to tell it , telling the truth is always the best way to deal with everything .

ReplyDeleteI don't agree with you in some parts, cause people should be honest with others most of the time, but in some cases you should probably keep the truth to you, because otherway you can hurt that person's feelings and that would be bad for any relationship
